Robert and Denise traveled from Louisville, Kentucky, to celebrate their wedding with 30 of their closest family and friends on the shores of Bonita Beach.
They chose our Palm Signature experience but made it completely their own with vibrant tropical flowers, soft sage accents and a ceremony filled with meaningful music, family and plenty of personality.
Their celebration began with an evening ceremony at Bonita Beach Park and continued just steps away with a casual reception at Doc's Beach House — creating an easy, relaxed destination wedding centered around the people they love.
A Destination Wedding With Their Favorite People
For Robert and Denise, their Florida destination wedding wasn't just about finding a beautiful beach. They brought 30 of the people closest to them from home to share the experience.
Family was woven throughout the ceremony. Denise had a bridal party by her side, and her children accompanied her down the aisle, creating one of the most meaningful moments of the evening.
A family member also shared a special reading during the ceremony, bringing another familiar voice into the celebration.
Rather than filling their ceremony with traditions simply because they were expected, Robert and Denise chose moments that reflected the people, music and memories that were already part of their life together.
Vibrant Tropical Color Meets Soft Sage
Denise wasn't looking for the traditional white-and-green beach wedding. She wanted color — and plenty of it.
Her floral palette brought together vivid coral, orange, pink and fuchsia blooms with tropical foliage and fresh green textures. Palm fronds and oversized tropical leaves gave the arrangements movement and scale, while roses and softer floral varieties kept the overall design romantic.
The bold flowers were balanced by one of the prettiest elements of the palette: soft sage green.
Denise chose a flowing sage gown for herself, and we carried that color into the ceremony with sage chair sashes. Against the white sand, natural textures and bright flowers, the softer green grounded the stronger colors and tied the entire ceremony together.
Her bouquet followed the same direction, combining vibrant roses and tropical accents with rich foliage and small seashell details that held a much more personal meaning.
A Tropical Take on the Palm Signature
Robert and Denise selected our Palm Signature Package, but their version was anything but neutral.
Their ceremony featured our gold circle arch with white draping, styled with asymmetrical floral installations filled with tropical greenery and saturated color. Woven lanterns at the base brought natural texture into the design, while sage chair sashes and coordinating floral accents carried the palette through the guest seating.
We also created Denise's bouquet and coordinating personal flowers so the same vibrant floral story continued throughout the ceremony.
The finished design felt tropical without becoming themed, colorful without becoming overwhelming, and relaxed enough to suit a beach celebration on the Gulf.

A Meaningful Detail She Carried With Her
Some of the smallest details of Robert and Denise's wedding carried the most meaning.
Whenever Robert travels, he brings Denise home a seashell. Over time, those shells have become little reminders of the places he's been and the fact that, wherever he travels, he's thinking of her.
For their wedding, Denise wanted that tradition to become part of what she carried with her. Seashells were incorporated into her bridal bouquet, and she tucked several into her softly styled updo.
They were perfectly at home at a beach wedding, but that wasn't why they were there.
The shells represented something that already belonged to Robert and Denise long before their wedding day — a small tradition from their life together, carried with them as they began the next part of it.

A Ceremony Filled With Music From Their Life
Music gave Robert and Denise another opportunity to make their ceremony personal.
Denise walked down the aisle to Firefall's You Are the Woman, choosing a song connected to their life rather than a traditional wedding processional.
Combined with her children accompanying her down the aisle and the family reading incorporated into the ceremony, those choices made the celebration feel unmistakably theirs.
It wasn't about following a prescribed version of what a beach wedding should be. It was about bringing pieces of their own story to the beach with them.
Celebrating With a Flower Shower
Their ceremony ended exactly the way a colorful beach wedding should — with even more color.
As the newlyweds made their way back down the aisle, their family and friends tossed handfuls of flower petals into the air around them.
The flower shower brought everyone into the celebration and created one of the most joyful moments of the evening. Pink, coral, yellow and white petals filled the air while their guests laughed and cheered around them.
It was playful, a little unexpected and perfectly suited to Robert and Denise.
Getting Married at Bonita Beach Park
Bonita Beach Park is a great option for couples looking for a relaxed Southwest Florida beach wedding in the Bonita Springs area.
The beach is currently free to use for wedding ceremonies, eliminating the separate beach permit expense required at some Southwest Florida locations.
Its proximity to Doc's Beach House can also make it particularly convenient for couples who want to pair a beach ceremony with a casual nearby reception, as Robert and Denise did.
